From a Gathering in 1996 to a 1000+ Family Community
On 9th June 1996, a passionate group of Malayalees residing in Hosur came together in a small hall at Lakshmi Nagar (Lakshmidevi Nagar). United by a longing for their native roots, language, and cultural traditions, they resolved to establish Kairali Samajam Hosur (Regd. No. 103/2000) — creating an enduring second home for Malayali families in and around Hosur.
Starting with around 50 dedicated founding members, the Samajam has grown into a vibrant institution of over 1,000 active member families across Hosur, bridging multiple generations through culture, service, and fellowship.

Milestones & Civic Achievements
Founding & Headquarters
Formed on June 9, 1996. The Samajam acquired its own land at Kairali Nagar (Plot 59 & 60, Krishnagiri Rd) and Alasnatham Rd, later erecting a 400-seat Mini Auditorium.
First Grand Onam
The first official Onam celebration on Sept 1, 1998, sponsored by 15 founding office bearers donating ₹1,000 each, beginning our annual Onasadhya and Ghoshayathra traditions.
KSRTC Bus Connectivity
During Kerala CM Sri. E. K. Nayanar's visit to Hosur, Samajam petitioned for direct transit. KSRTC introduced 4 buses via Hosur, followed by the Hosur–Kollam express bus service.
Community Library (വായനശാല)
Inaugurated on Jan 17, 2002 by Sri. M. M. Hassan (Minister for NORKA), housing a premier collection of Malayalam classics and contemporary literature.
Rail Service Stoppage
Through sustained representations to Railway Minister of State Sri. R. Velu, secured the Yesvantpur–Kannur Express train service and halt at Hosur Railway Station.
Charitable Fund Committee
Formed an autonomous 21-member executive welfare body providing regular pensions to distressed families, medical relief, student aid, and disaster assistance.
